I recently returned to CosmetiCare to meet with Rosie, targeting my double chin with one of their sculpting options. During a previous consultation, Rosie felt that I would have great results with the Coolsculpting® procedure targeted on my chin to reduce the stubborn fat that has collected there over the years.
Cool sculpting is a non-invasive body contouring treatment used to reduce fat cell volume by freezing. A cool sculpting technician uses a wand like tool on the specified area to reduce the temperature of the fat cells to +5 to -11 °C. This freezing method reduces fat deposits, which reshapes the contours of the body or specific area.
When I arrived, Rosie was all set up and waiting for me. With comfortable pillows, blankets and Netflix primed and ready for selection, all I needed to do was pose for my before photos and simply relax.
Once I was good and comfy, Rosie measured the area she was going to target, then applied Cool Gel Mini to my chin that serves as a barrier, protecting the surface of the skin from the freezing. then placed the coolsculpting wand under my chin, making sure that there was a good suction, keeping it in place.
A typical Cool Mini treatment can last between 30 minutes to about 45 minutes. Then you’re right back to your daily activities. There is no down time. During the procedure, my chin just felt cold. Rosie shared that the more treatments you do, a light pain may be experienced because there are less fat cells to freeze.
After the treatment, Rosie massaged the area, and used a lotion with elastin and I was on my way. Throughout the day, I needed to drink water, and massage the treated area a few additional times. I also noticed the area was a little tender immediately after the treatment and a few days later.
Typical results are visible within 4 – 6 weeks, however some patience have seen a difference as early as 3 weeks.

Typically results from cool sculpting on stomach and hips are for individuals who are near, or within 15 pounds of their goal weight. Unfortunately, I’m not quite ready to target that area yet, as I have a lot of work to do in that area.
