Last night, Grammie was available to take the kids and The Hubster and I had a chance to relax at a deliciously unique and casual hang out in Huntington Beach called SeaLegs Wine Bar.
SeaLegs Wine Bar is the creation of Alicia Whitney, originally an event coordinator in Las Vegas, who journaled detailed notes of a pairing/dining concept, with the help of a few partners and Chef Alexander Dale (whose family owns Newport Beach’s Villa Nova), is now a reality.
Contributor Alma Bosek went to a special event at The Corner Bakery, sampling a few new menu options. She shares her experiences: Last week I was invited to take a sneak peek at The Corner Bakery’s homemade Buttermilk Pancakes, Chilled Berry Almond Swiss Oatmeal and their Spicy Asian Pork Hot Toasted Sandwich.
The food adventure began with a live cooking demonstration by Chef Ric Scicchitano, Vice President of Food and Beverage for The Corner Bakery. We were encouraged to ask questions, taste the food and just have a great time. The whole experience made me love Corner Bakery and want to come back for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best part of the day was that they shared their secrets and recipes with us.

As a kid, I can recall the Farrell’s Tradition, celebrating many birthdays with friends and family, enjoying Sundays, Pig’s Troughs and more. Naturally, I’m giddy that they are back, and literally down the street! I can continue the tradition with my children.

It was a wonderful evening with the girls, many of whom are fellow bloggers you may already be following. Always nice to catch up and hang with friends who understand the “Don’t Touch The Food Till I’ve Snapped The Perfect Photo”.

I had the opportunity to join a few of my fellow blogger buddies in sampling Marie Callender’s delicious new backyard barbeque menu items along with a few new appetizers.
It is so much fun to spend a night out with the girls, but when it is a bunch of fellow bloggers, it is even more crazy. If you ever notice a group of girls crowding around tables and tables of food, with cameras in hand – NOT EATING, that would be us! Sad to say, our family is already forewarned that they cannot touch their food until it has been properly photographed.
Last week I had the opportunity to have a “Girls Night Out” with my blogger buddies at Dave and Busters. It was a night full of cocktails, food, photos and fun!
