One of my favorite cartoons as a kid, Strawberry Shortcake, is back with an all new DVD. “Berry Big Help” Will be available at local retail stores on Tuesday, February 18th.
It’s always a plus when I can find a cartoon, or a movie, that has wonderful teaching elements in the storyline. With this new DVD release, Strawberry Shortcake and her friends teach the value of helping out as best as they can.
Dorothy and Toto are lost again, this time in Costa Mesa! We attended the new stage adaption of The Wizard of Oz at Segerstrom Hall on “Family Night” designed to entertain kids of all ages.

Now that we’re in February, I have been trying to re-evaluate my exercise routine, which has basically disappeared. I know many people are just too busy with day to day responsibilities that New Years Resolutions of exercise, working out or dieting seem to become a low priority. So I was just thinking the other day about how time is just flying with my munchkins. The Princess will be celebrating her Fabulous Five birthday soon, and we need to start planning! With that big milestone comes a big purchase, one Grammie has promised her for a few years – A Big Girl Bed. So this week we headed off to our local Sit ‘n Sleep to see what is available.
When I was pregnant, my mother in law felt it important that the kids each had their own bed, no hand me downs from each other or anyone else. She selected a convertible model that went from crib to toddler bed, then full bed. Now that she is turning 5, the hunt is on for the right “Big Girl Bed”.
At our local Sit ‘n Sleep, we spoke with one of the sales ladies that we just loved. Norma was very helpful in guiding us to exactly what we were looking for as well as our concerns regarding The Princess’ dust mite allergy.
A while back I was contacted by the inventors of Soapsox. They were trying to get the word out about their adorable little invention and the Kickstarter Campaign.
Founder, Ray Phillips came up with the idea of making bathtime fun while working in a residential treatment facility for abused children. One of the children, attached to a favorite stuffed animal, would not part with him for a bath, and Soapsox was born.
Soapsox are adorable animals that have an inner pocket to hold a bar of soap, or a squirt of body wash.

When I’m in a hurry in the morning, my go to breakfast of choice is yogurt. I honestly haven’t tried Greek yogurt yet, however the New Ehrmann MIXIM™ sounds delicious. I love any type of yogurt with toppings, fruit, and nuts, whatever. To me, those added flavors make the perfect breakfast.
