A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to introduce my daughter to a true treat: her first ballet – Mikhailovsky Ballet: The Flames of Paris St. Petersberg, Russia when they toured through Southern California at Segerstrom Center.

As a dance mom, I’ve really enjoyed watching my little budding ballerina learn her technique and improve week to week. Giving her the opportunity to experience the magic of dance and ballet in the theater as a true fan of the art was just amazing.

I love making a holiday family tradition. Since the kids have been about 1 year old, I’ve been visiting Irvine Park Railroad for all of their holiday events. This year, the Christmas Train has a beautiful new addition at Santa’s Village – A Christmas Tree Farm!

Wander through the Party Pavillion next to the train station, and pick out your family’s “perfect” tree for 2014. Choose among Douglas Fir, Noble Fir and Grand Fir trees ranging from 4″ to 12″.

And may the odds be ever in your favor! The odds were certainly in my favor when my friend and I were invited to see the premiere of Mockingjay: Part 1 at the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Rancho Santa Margarita. As a HUGE Hunger Games fan, I was really excited to see the movie on opening night, and even more excited to see it at such an amazing movie theatre!

Unique donated items have been hand selected, from clothing and shoes to home goods and one-of-a-kind pieces that will inspire you to become a designer. For example, one of the light fixtures we noticed hanging around was made of old television sets – simply awesome!
