Earlier this week, I was invited to take my princess and her friend (and mom) to a pre-screening of Disney’s Cinderella in Newport Beach. It was such a fun “girls night” immersing ourselves in the magic and we floated out of the theater with big smiles as we re-fell in love with Cinderella.

The odds were certainly in my favor when my friend and I were invited to see the premiere of Mockingjay: Part 1 at the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Rancho Santa Margarita. As a HUGE Hunger Games fan, I was really excited to see the movie on opening night, and even more excited to see it at such an amazing movie theatre!

My big guy just loves the How To Train Your Dragon series like so many boys his age. With the anticipation of the movie being released to Blu-Ray/DVD this coming Tuesday (Nov 11th), I thought it was only fitting to plan a Dragons 2 Movie Night at home.
During the week, we’re extra busy running from sports activity to the next, so I decided to start planning our family movie night in advance. First goal – make it simple, but fun, using only items we actually have on hand.

On October 8th, my daughter and I were lucky enough to have a mommy/daughter date night and, once again, be contributors for Toddler Trails and were able to see an advanced screening of “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” starring Jennifer Garner and Steve Carell. The screening was at the AMC 30 in Orange at The Outlets of Orange.
On September 27th, we were lucky enough to be able to attend an advanced screening of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion at AMC Century City 15 which will be airing on the Disney Channel on October 3rd at 9pm.
The experience was super exciting and filled with everything every little padawan or Jedi could dream of. There was a raffle for a Star Wars lego set and for a lightsaber kit.

When this movit first came out in 2010, I was eager to share it with my handsome boy. At that time, he was just about 3 years old, and as soon as he saw Toothless on the screen, he was frightened. The beautiful animation of this Night Fury dragon had me captivated, but my little guy was hiding his face. At that time, I figured we’d have to wait a few years to enjoy the movie together.
