We were recently introduced to a new hit children’s animated series that is already well known in Canada, Toopy and Binoo™. It is the adventures of Toopy, a tall, funny and friendly mouse, and his best friend Binoo, a tiny, clever and lovable white cat.
I was checking through email one afternoon from a PR agency and Toppy and Binoo filled the screen. My princess ran over to the office to check out what Mom had discovered, and just like that, I was kicked off the computer as she immersed herself in the show.
My princess was drawn into their colorful, whimsical world, particularly the episode where Toopy and Binoo were roll playing and trying to decide who would be the parent and who would be the baby. I think she watched the 5 minute animated show at least 5 times in that one sitting. (Apparently she understands all too well the struggles of power as I’ve heard regular occurrences of similar tiffs at school.)
For me, I love the fact that the show is adorable, funny and geared toward 2-6 year olds. We’ve recently discovered that some shows our kids have been watching have introduced tween topics which have caused some interesting conversations at home. Toopy and Binoo teach children daily skills and encourage them to use their imaginations. The series inspires preschoolers ages 2 to 6 to expand their creativity while reinforcing positive values such as friendship, good manners, creative thinking, and humor.
Toopy and Binoo is now available for the first time ever to US audiences exclusively on the Toopy and Binoo TV YouTube channel with more than 100, 5 minute episodes full of laughs and stories for the entire family: https://www.youtube.com/user/toopyandbinootv. I for one am excited they are on YouTube as we can take Toopy and Binoo with us as we travel or are waiting in the doctor’s office.
