We took the kids on a family fun swashbuckling adventure at the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. Such a fun family experience, I’ve decided to add it to our Summer Bucket List for next year!
The Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park is a great interactive experience for the whole family.
For our two week road trip, the first stop was Las Vegas. My mom and step-dad moved there over a year ago, so we try to visit as often as we can. Besides, the kids just love hanging at their place, I mean who wouldn’t with a pool and a putting green?
They live about 25 minutes from the strip and have many fun places to share with us when we get into town. For instance, The Container Park.
Last night, Grammie was available to take the kids and The Hubster and I had a chance to relax at a deliciously unique and casual hang out in Huntington Beach called SeaLegs Wine Bar.
SeaLegs Wine Bar is the creation of Alicia Whitney, originally an event coordinator in Las Vegas, who journaled detailed notes of a pairing/dining concept, with the help of a few partners and Chef Alexander Dale (whose family owns Newport Beach’s Villa Nova), is now a reality.

The food adventure began with a live cooking demonstration by Chef Ric Scicchitano, Vice President of Food and Beverage for The Corner Bakery. We were encouraged to ask questions, taste the food and just have a great time. The whole experience made me love Corner Bakery and want to come back for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best part of the day was that they shared their secrets and recipes with us.

A little over a week ago, I had the opportunity to head out with the girls and sample the new menu at Mimi’s Cafe that will be available as of October 7th, 2013.
It was a wonderful evening with the girls, many of whom are fellow bloggers you may already be following. Always nice to catch up and hang with friends who understand the “Don’t Touch The Food Till I’ve Snapped The Perfect Photo”.
