With World Prematurity Day coming up on November 17th, I got to thinking about 7 years ago when my little man was born. When I was pregnant with him, things got a little scary. At 28 weeks pregnant, I was diagnosed with Pre-Eclampsia and put on bed rest. At 33 weeks, my doctor decided to start weekly fetal monitoring to keep an eye on my little man, however since my blood pressure wouldn’t come down during the monitoring, they decided to admit me.

Back when I was a new mom, I relied on adult conversation and “learning the ropes” from other newbie moms in our Mom’s Group. We’ve had poop issues for quite a while in our house. Issues I thought would never go away because of an addiction to wet wipes and an aversion to publicly pooping. My little guy really didn’t like using the restroom in at preschool because it was public – everyone could see everyone else because they were either lined up or the bathroom didn’t have a door.

I remember being a kid, and after every holiday or birthday, my mom constantly reminded us to write Thank You notes to everyone who gave us a gift. I must admit, I didn’t really like doing them, I don’t think anyone really does, but I wrote them ever time. In the era we are living in today, are Thank You’s still sent?
