Last week we were invited to Pretend City for a little ice cream fun and a chance to check out the new exhibit, The Ultimate Recycling Machine.
After school we jumped in the car and headed out to Irvine to our favorite kid’s museum. Since we arrived a little early, we had the opportunity to play.
Last night the kids and I went to the OC Fair Grounds for the 27th Annual Hoag Summer Movie Classic.
A unique event, The Hoag Hospital Foundation and its 552 Club, celebrated their 27th year of this amazing fundraiser. Since its incepetion, the foundation has raised over $2 million dollars.
A couple of weeks ago we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. In our classroom we showered our Kindergarten teacher with flowers, special notes, favorite snacks and treats, but Wall Pops really have great teacher gifts.
We were given the opportunity to sample a couple of Wall Pop products, which are a premier line of peel and stick wall art designed to aid teachers in the classroom.
Since you’ve been following along for some time now, you know that we are quite busy running from dance class to baseball game to softball game with the Hubster’s team or even off to events. With the hustle and bustle of the day to day, we realize how important it is to get one on one time with the kids. I was recently told about Fodada, who is taking up a crusade to bring dads and their kids closer together with “time”.
How often do your kids get one on one time with dad? In our home, we really make it a point to give each kid the chance to have their time. Whether it’s handsome boy and dad practicing baseball in the front yard, or dad taking the princess to dance class, we make it happen.
Oh My goodness, what the heck just happened? Do you feel the same way? Tomorrow is the last day of school, and we’ve got to figure out what we’re going to do to keep busy this summer. To keep the kids (and my husband) entertained for the summer, I’ve come up with the Summer Bucket List.
I think I’ve been a fan of Days of Our Lives since I was in my teens. One of my favorite characters has always been Sami Brady, by actress Alison Sweeney. I loved it when they brought her to The Biggest Loser as the host even more. And when I was given the opportunity to meet her in person, I was all in!
Yesterday, Alison Sweeney and The Moms, Denise and Melissa, were in LA at Duff’s Cakemix celebrating the release of Alison’s new book, Scared Scriptless.

With one kid in 1st grade, one entering Kindergarten and the littlest having just turned two, it’s been a little tough having the time to focus on reading and writing. My 1st grader is doing an amazing job on his own, excelling in his class, however, my younger son needed a little assistance with his penmanship and the Butter Pencil Grip is doing the trick!

The OC Fair is coming to town this July-August and with that is the Fresh Beat Band!
You may recall that back in February we took the kids to their first concert in LA – The Fresh Beat Band. You can see our review here. It was a fantastic show that had all the kids dancing and singing throughout the venue.
