Since I’ve started Toddler Trails, I’ve had some fun opportunities for the family. With Disney’s Planes opening tomorrow, we were invited to a pre-screening of the movie in 3D, so The Hubster and I decided to keep this one a secret from the kids.

Disclosure: We were invited to an advanced screening of The Lone Ranger and asked to share our thoughts and opinions about the movie. In no way did this influence my view of the movie.
Sometimes it’s just great to have a night out, you know, just the boys. We’re so busy with work, school and life, that we don’t have many chances to do something with just us. When we were asked to attend the advanced screening of The Lone Ranger, we were like, “Heck Yeah”!
Disclosure: I was contacted directly by Disney/Dreamworks who asked for my participation in sharing the news about the upcoming release of Delivery Man, the movie. All opinions are my own.
Do you remember when you were in your late teens, early 20’s thinking about the future trying to figure out where your life was headed? It’s kinda funny thinking back to “the plan” I set for myself when I was younger. I recall being in high school, thinking I’d get married at 25, have a baby at 26-27, a great job and the white picket fence and all. While dating, as we all do, I examined all those relationships, the long and short – what did I get out of it, was that person the one? Did I just destroy my chance at the “Happily Ever After”?
So I just have to share…I really enjoy writing blogs – and when I have the time, I like to read them too! Did you know that Disney Parks has their own blog? It’s certainly one to follow, as their writers share tips, tricks, events and more. A few weeks ago, they hosted a #MagicalMeetup at Disneyland for their readers. The lucky first 750 people to register were invited to see a private viewing of Mickey And The Magical Map and enjoy the park for the rest of the evening.
Last week, I had the opportunity to surprise my handsome boy, as we were invited to see an advanced screening of Monsters University (with two free tickets) the night before he graduated from Kindergarten.
So excited about the anticipation of date night, we talked about it in detail the day before…what time we were going to leave (have to figure in traffic down to Newport Beach), what we were going to do about dinner, what Daddy and sister were going to do while we were gone, etc. I think I was more excited than he was!
Can you tell we’re excited? It’s coming!!!! Disney’s Planes will be soaring into theaters on August 9th. Here’s a sneak peak featuring music by the film’s composer, Mark Mancina!!! What’s the best way to celebrate turning 40? Disney, of course! Hubby is a busy man. Seriously, there are times we may see him for 5 minutes when he comes home from school or practice (a high school teacher/softball coach) and he’s off to referee a basketball game. The day I said goodbye to my …
