Disney Parks Blog’s #MagicalMeetup at @Disneyland

#magicalmeetup

So I just have to share…I really enjoy writing blogs – and when I have the time, I like to read them too!  Did you know that Disney Parks has their own blog?  It’s certainly one to follow, as their writers share tips, tricks, events and more.  A few weeks ago, they hosted a #MagicalMeetup at Disneyland for their readers.  The lucky first 750 people to register were invited to see a private viewing of Mickey And The Magical Map and enjoy the park for the rest of the evening.

When the kids were younger, we had annual passes. Now they are of the age to get into activities and our family calendar intensely busy with dance, baseball and softball, it just seemed a waste of money since we weren’t able to enjoy the park as much as we’d like to. Disney just announced another price increase, so we really have to weigh our options.

However, when I learned from a friend that Disney Parks Blog was hosting a Magical Meetup and it included entry into the park, I jumped at the chance to bring the hubster along.  (He hadn’t been to the park in about 10 years – and never with our kids).

As usual, the creators at Disney put on a magical show. Mickey interacts with this large map on an enormous LED screen and journeys through some of Disney’s favorite movies like Jungle Book, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tangled, and more.  The music and dancing had all guests singing along and “bench dancing” with the beloved Disney songs.  My kids were completely entranced with the show and my daughter was especially mesmerized by the princesses.

If you’re spending the day at Disneyland, make sure you plan this show into your schedule.  It’s at the Fantasyland Theater, right across from Small World and next to Toon Town.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post.  We were lucky enough to be one of the first 750 people to register for the event and receive complimentary tickets into the park.  All opinions are my own.
