My daughter is always asking me when she can have a play date with her school friends, since they had so much fun at our last one. I decided it was time to surprise her and invited her friend, and her friend’s mom out with us to grab some ice cream before we picked the older siblings. It was time to try out the new ice cream shop I’ve heard a lot about – the Creamistry.

Since we had about an hour and a half between pick ups, we grabbed the girls and were on our way to the Creamistry in Cerritos that boasts made to order, liquid nitrogen infused ice cream.

Last week a few friends and I were invited to Mimi’s Café to sample their new menu items and frites that are already being offered in a location near you.

Imagine the cuisine of France. Mimi’s Café’s culinary team spent more than two months in France, perfecting authentic frites. Haven’t heard of frites? Well, you’re not alone. I was told Frites are hand cut, fried to ordered fresh potatoes that are seasoned with a little sea salt and fresh herbs. Yes, basically they’re considered “French Fries” – but they are quite amazing, and are now the center of the new entrées added to the Mimi’s Café menu.
