A healthy lifestyle is what we should all be striving for, but for some, it is easier said than done. I have come up with all kinds of excuses, particularly the “I’m too busy to get going”, while the Hubster has taken action and has lost 35 lbs and looks amazing. So, when I was recently invited to attend the Power House Open House to learn more about their Whey Protein Powder along with their healthy product line, it seemed a perfect fit.
When I was younger, I’d admire those moms who could pull off some fabulous hair dos on their little girls. My mom was always particular about making sure my hair was in order and styled nice every day. Now, I’m doing the same for my princess. Her favorite styles – anything inspired by the movie Frozen or Disney Princesses. I was recently introduced to two books: Frozen Hairstyles and Disney Princess Hairstyles and now we’re on a mission to try and do each look.
Between the two books, there are over 60 different unique hair styles including braids, updos, buns, waves, twits and ponytails. My daughter being a HUGE Elsa fan absolutely loves the Frozen styles – especially the braids. Many we ended up altering because of her having dance rehearsals – so therefore the added bun in some photos.

As a dance mom, I’ve really enjoyed watching my little budding ballerina learn her technique and improve week to week. Since we had Monday off of school, I decided to take the family down to the beach. Figured it was the perfect opportunity to get in our annual holiday photo since I’ve been thinking about our Christmas cards. For lunch, we just had to check out the new Fresh Brothers in Newport Beach, since I had heard they have finally made their way out to the OC.
