Bon Voyage Moms Weekend
I believe that Moms should take a little time for themselves. Whether it’s hiding in your room to quickly read a chapter in a really great book, off to the salon for a quick manicure or pedicure, or even locking yourself in the bathroom so you can have a telephone conversation with a girlfriend, without interruption. Dealing with family and home life can make any mom a little batty, just a little time away from the dishes, laundry, carpool and whining really rejuvenates Mom.
That being said, I’d consider myself quite lucky to be able to take a weekend away with just the girls.

With August being our Anniversary, and the last month before school gets in full swing, this year we decided to head out to Las Vegas for our last bit of “stay-cation”.
Our favorite hotel has become The Rio Las Vegas. Even though it is just off the strip, it’s a fun place to stay for families as well as couples with lots to offer.

Now that I’ve reached the big 40, I’ve noticed some changes that comes with the age. First, I’ve discovered many little grey hair popping up through my beautiful super dark brown/black locks. Pioneer Park – MLB Angels All-Star Complex

With my son in Little League (tee-ball) in Anaheim, we’ve had the opportunity to check out a few more parks in the city. As Angels fans, we were really excited when our tee ball schedule brought us to Pioneer Park and we discovered the MLB Angels All Star Complex. This beautiful facility hosts two baseball fields. A regular sized dirt field and a smaller scale specialized tee ball field. The tee ball field is something I have never seen before! The ground is made up of the same rubberized foam flooring you see in parks, meaning NO dirt whatsoever. The turf is also color coated so it looks like a real field. Definitely a sight to see, and the kid REALLY enjoyed playing on it.

A couple of weeks ago, we attended a play date with our friend Marcie and Surf City Family. It was a chance to get out and hang with some friends at Huntington Central Park, over by the dog park, (man, I should have brought our lab – Minnie) and the kids got a chance to be “just kids”.
