 With my son in Little League (tee-ball) in Anaheim, we’ve had the opportunity to check out a few more parks in the city.  As Angels fans, we were really excited when our tee ball schedule brought us to Pioneer Park and we discovered the MLB Angels All Star Complex.  This beautiful facility hosts two baseball fields.  A regular sized dirt field and a smaller scale specialized tee ball field.   The tee ball field is something I have never seen before!  The ground is made up of the same rubberized foam flooring you see in parks, meaning NO dirt whatsoever.  The turf is also color coated so it looks like a real field.  Definitely a sight to see, and the kid REALLY enjoyed playing on it.

We’ve been so crazy busy lately, that we haven’t really had a chance to just going out and play.  Even today, we had school, tee ball games, and blogging events.  So, I decided rather than commute back and forth from school to home to the game, we’d stop at a park that we’ve been wanting to visit. I told hubs to pick up a few sub sandwiches on his way to meet us, as this park was a great setting for a picnic dinner.

Peter Marshall Park

  Peter Marshall Park 801 N. Magnolia Ave. Anaheim, CA 92801 (714) 765-5155 Small little neighborhood park with 1 large and 1 small playground structures.  There is a swing set, restrooms and open grassy area for soccer/football.

Bastanchury Park

 Bastanchury Park 1717 West Bastanchury Road Fullerton, CA 92833 (714) 738-6575   Bastanchury Park offers  a children’s playground,  two youth-sized softball fields, a soccer field, a basketball court,and restrooms. There are two trails, one a cement sidewalk and the other a dirt trail (for horses), along the perimeter of the park.  

Russel C. Paris Park

  Russell C. Paris Park 8600 Palos Verdes Ave. Westminster, CA 92683 (714) 895-2860   A beautiful park in Westminster that has two play structures, one for toddlers, one for school aged children.  There are also barbeques, picnic tables and a large open grassy field.  

Hollenbeck Park

  Hollenbeck Park 8645 Cerritos Ave Stanton, CA 90680 (714) 379-9222 ext.270   A cute little neighborhood park that has 2 playground structures, swings (including for infants/toddlers), 1 drinking fountain, exercise training course, and a walking path perfect for walking the dog or kids trikes, etc.
