FREE FAMILY EVENT: MOTA Day – Museums of the Arroyo

This weekend families are invited to enjoy MOTA Day on May 17th. Explore great architecture, historical discoveries, family fun and entertainment at six local museums all for free at Museums of the Arroyo (MOTA) Day.

Families will have the opportunity to learn Victorian dances, make adobe bricks, check out a Civil War encampment, climb into a retired LAPD helicopter, attend a Rancho fashion show and discover what continues to make the Arroyo Seco a bustling, vibrant arts-driven community that crosses neighborhoods and social boundaries.

Looking for a family friendly activity while the kids are on Winter Break? Head on over to Kidspace Children’s Museum Friday, December 26th to Tuesday, December 30th for the Museum’s 7th annual Snow Days.

Snow Days at Kidspace takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the weekend.

The Science of the Gingerbread has made its annual return to The Discovery Cube in Orange County and we had the unique opportunity to preview the exhibit and contest entries.

This year there were 230 gingerbread creations entered in the annual gingerbread competition that included participants from local companies, schools, families and organizations. Visitors to the Discovery Cube have a chance to see the entries up close. And let me tell you, there are some really unique entries this year – from all ages!

Premier Exhibitions, Inc. has brought the memory of the Titanic to life in Buena Park with the opening of Titanic The Experience at the former Movieland Wax Museum.

The Hubster decided to make a date out of the experience and dropped the kids off with Grammie so we could go back in time to the day in time that beautiful ship set sail.

Experiencing A Piece Of History – The Endeavor | @casciencecenter

Growing up, we were huge fans of the space program. Heck, we were practically raised in it with family working at different spectrums of it the program through Hughes Aircraft, Boeing, Parker Hannifin and JPL. So, I was absolutely delighted when I received an invitation to the media tour of the new Endeavor Exhibit at the California Science Center in Los Angeles and check out the new Giant Lever Exhibit which allows guests to lift a Toyota truck.
