A post written by Jennifer Stinnett on behalf of The Creamistry Corona.
If your family is anything like mine, ice cream could be a food group. We are always wanting to try out new ice cream shops. When I heard that a new ice cream shop was opening in Corona I planned a fun night out with the family and our good friends.
We loaded the kids up and headed to Creamisty Corona! Forget going to an ice cream shop that has frozen stiff ice cream that has been sitting in a freezer. At Creamistry the “creamologists” specialize in using liquid nitrogen to customize ice cream right before your eyes! They use only the highest quality ingredients including all natural and organic ingredients.
First let me start by telling you AWESOME this place is! Customizing your ice cream has never been more fun. As soon as we walked into the door the entire staff greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell they were having so much fun making the ice cream it would be hard not to get excited!
I must admit we were a little overwhelmed with all of the choices since they offer at the Creamistry Corona, over 40 flavors and 50 mixins so the combinations are endless. We were feeling adventurous that night so we let the staff pick our ice cream for us! We ended up with “Birthday Cake”, “Salted Carmel”, Cinnamon Toast Crunch” and “Cookies and Cream”.
My favorite was Salted Caramel while my husband loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the kids loved the Cookies and Cream. We were all amazed with how decadent this ice cream was! I think it’s safe to say by the look of our empty bowls that we will be visiting Creamistry Corona again!
For those of you that prefer to eat healthier they also make fresh sorbets made with real fruit purees and no dairy!
How It Works:
Step 1: Choose your size
- Small
- Medium
- Family
- Specialty
Step 2: Choose Ice Cream Base
- Signature Premium
- Organic
- Real fruit sorbet
Step 3: Choose Flavor and Topping
- 50+ Flavors
- Mix ins
Once you have selected your ice cream all of your ingredients are assembled in a mixing bowl, the creamologist them gets to work adding liquid nitrogen; a clear, odorless, tasteless ingredient, at +321 degrees to freeze the mixture upon contact.
