Strawberry Shortcake DVD Release

As a kid, I LOVED Strawberry Shortcake.  I had the entire bedding set, canopy and curtains, I even have old school pictures of me in a Strawberry Shortcake dress. I think my best memory was when my cousins and I dressed up in those old 80’s Halloween costumes with the plastic mask and poncho cover that made me look exactly like Strawberry Shortcake.

(Yes, this is me as a kid with my favorite Strawberry Shortcake Dress)

With such great memories, I couldn’t pass up the chance to enjoy Strawberry Shortcake with my own children.  My daughter, being a big fan also , was excited when we received our review copies of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road and Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden, that became available on DVD March 6 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

First, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road follows Strawberry and her friends as they go through  an adorable take on the classic “Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”  When a cyclone blows Strawberry to the strange land of Oz, she runs into trouble with the Wicked Witch and must journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard how to find her way back home.  The DVD includes coloring pages under their special features.
Next, Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden shows that it’s time for garden growing fun with Strawberry and her friends as they prepare for the Spring Flower Festival!  This DVD’s special features includes coloring pages and Sunshine Girls Dance Instruction Video.

*Disclaimer: I received the DVD’s free of charge, for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my opinion of the DVD’s.  My opinions are one hundred percent honest and true.*
