Recipe: First Street Fruity Fruit Punch Popsicles

Now that Summer’s here and the weather is heating up, we decided to let the kids invite a friend over for a splashing fun afternoon by the pool. To keep these kids cool while they played on the trampoline and with the scooters, we were looking to create something fun and refreshing for these active kiddos. Our favorite go to market, Smart & Final, has everything under the sun that helps us beat the heat. One creative option is homemade First Street Fruity Fruit Punch Popsicles.

First Street Fruity Fruit Punch Popsicles

We typically do our weekly grocery shopping at Smart & Final, so while we were there, I was looking for beverages they could drink, besides the sodas they’re always asking for. That is when I discovered the First Street Thirst Punchers Fruit Punch drink mix. I prefer drink mixes because I can reduce the amount of sugar the kids consume by adding more water and less mix.

That was when it hit me – creating my own fruity popsicles with the First Street Thirst Punchers Fruit Punch drink mix and fresh fruit. This recipe is quite simple, especially if you have popsicle molds. If you don’t, then you can do the same with ice cube trays.

Recipe Notes

This is a kid friendly recipe, and I actually recommend getting the kids involved. It is a great way to teach them about measurements and mixing. They can help with cutting by using butter knives or plastic knives.

The First Street Fruity Fruit Punch Popsicle recipe is quite easy as I’ve shared before. All you need to do is prepare the First Street Thirst Punchers Fruit Punch as it says on the container instructions.

Great kid friendly recipe: Fruity Fruit Punch Popsicles with chunks of fresh fruit, perfect for a hot summer day.

Next, chop up the fruit and drop them into your molds. I happened to have an old set of Tupperware popsicle molds that I use every summer. You can add as little or as much fruit as you’d like. Then I finish the popsicle by pouring in First Street Fruity Fruit Punch. I place in the freezer overnight and they’re good to go the following day.
