Family movie night has become an important event in our household. It probably happens once a month, but this time with a little twist. I was off at a Dance Studio Bunco Fundraiser for while the hubster watched a few of the studio youngsters. Added bonus, we had samples of Gaslamp popcorns to feed these hungry munchkins.
Our friends at Gaslamp sent us a three pack of their delicious popcorn to sample: Kettle Corn, White Cheddar Corn and Cinnamon Caramel.
When I was setting up the popcorn bowls for the kiddos, I couldn’t help but sample each one. My absolute favorite was the Cinnamon Carmel. It reminded me of my love for carmel corn with the peanuts, but this version had a hint of cinnamon – minus the nuts. The beautiful rich color, enticing aroma and flavor kept me coming back for more. The ingredients of the Cinnamon Carmel include natural brown sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt.
Next, I sampled the White Cheddar. The best way to describe it is that it tastes similar to Pirate Booty. I noticed a couple of the kiddos LOVED this popcorn as there was barely any left.
If you’re favorite is the traditional kettle corn, you’ll love Gaslamp’s version. The “Sweet and Salty” variety is sweetened with pure cane sugar and a pinch of sea salt. This was my husband’s favorite.
