Fall is coming, and with that, so are the Pumpkins, Ghouls and Goblins!!
Irvine Park Railroad’s 8th annual Pumpkin Patch will be in full swing starting Saturday, September 21st. Children and adults are invited to the Pumpkin Patch which is open daily at 10:00 am through October 31st.
The Pumpkin Patch is located in Locomotive Loop and Miner’s Meadow just behind the train station. Thousands of pumpkins, in all shapes and sizes, fill Locomotive Loop. All ghouls and goblins are sure to find the perfect pumpkin!
This year, families can enjoy:
- Train rides
- Hay rides
- Panning for gold
- A child-friendly haunted house
- A hay maze
- A moon bounce
- Carnival games
- Cookie decorating
- John Deere tractor racers
- Face painting (weekends only)
- Picture stands
- Great food
The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is open daily from September 21st through October 31st Weekdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Weekends 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Admission into the Pumpkin Patch is free. Prices for all other activities vary. The parking fee for Irvine Regional Park is $3.00 per vehicle on weekdays and $5.00 per vehicle on weekends.
This is one of our favorite Halloween Events and one we never miss! Add it to your list of festivities early, as it tends to get busier closer to Halloween.

Visit Irvine Regional Park’s other activities including Wheel Fun Rentals® at Irvine Park — fun and unique bike rentals that can be enjoyed by single riders or an entire family — paddle boat rentals, the Orange County Zoo and pony rides. Bike and paddle boat rentals are open daily at 10:00 am through October 31st.

We took our daughter to Irvine Park Railroad last year for her first Halloween and look forward to making a visit there our favorite Halloween tradition! We cannot wait to see how much she’ll enjoy it now that she’s older.

Our favorite thing is to get dressed up and go to our schools Halloween Carnival!
Our tradition is decorating our house with zombies strobe lights black lights and all sorts of tombstones then scaring people hehehe but not the little kids.
We always go to the pumpkin patch for pictures. On Halloween night we take a pic of the boys laying on the carpet with their candy haul poured all over them. Then they get one piece before bed.
We like to go the Pumpkin Patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin and take pictures.

Our favorite tradition is using the seeds from our 4 year olds sons 1st pumpkin to get pumpkins the last 4 years.
