On Monday, November27th, award-winning actress and singer Hilary Duff, will be Legoland California Resort special guest to light the world’s largest LEGO® Christmas tree at the family theme park’s 15th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, kicking off LEGOLAND’s holidays. Now through January 1st, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the world’s largest Christmas tree, live entertainment, and take a picture with Lego Brick Santa and reindeer.
The annual tree lighting ceremony is part of the Legoland’s festive winter celebration, Holidays at LEGOLAND California Resort. Star of the critically-acclaimed TV Land series “Younger,” and known for her success as “Lizzie McGuire,” Hillary Duff will help Santa in pulling the switch that lights the 30-foot tall Christmas tree. Created out of more than 245,000 green DUPLO® bricks, the tree has more than 400 LEGO ornaments and will be illuminated with more than 11,000 LED lights. Join in the fun kicking off the holidays with the tree lighting, fireworks and snow flurries as well as all of Legoland’s holiday festivities that are included with regular Park admission.
Heartlake City has been transformed into a winter wonderland for guests to enjoy and children can sing and dance as they watch family fun holiday shows and join in building activities in the Heartlake City stables. Occasional snow flurries and a traveling brass band playing festive bluegrass music will fill Heartlake City with the holiday spirit. Families can indulge in tasty holiday fare such as churros con chocolate, vanilla bean hot chocolate and spiced apple cider, plus enjoy character meet and greets with LEGO Santa and a LEGO toy soldier and collect holiday inspired pop badges.
The fun continues in Fun Town. Stroll through the glimmer buildings trimmed with twinkling lights and décor. Snap a selfie in front of the world famous Lego Christmas Tree, constructed out of more than 245,000 forest green Duplo bricks. Pose for a family photo with life-size LEGO Santa and his reindeer and head on over to the Fun Town stage to sing and dance along with an all new show, The Yule Tides, Santa’s musical elves who deck all the halls with carols old and new.
