Since we discovered Ling Ling Asian Foods, we have continued to use them in our every day lives. As a matter of fact, we had planned get together with some school friends to work on a class project and decided on a last minute easy potluck. The Ling Ling Steamed Dumplings with Chili Sauce and the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice were the perfect additions to our afternoon snack.
With our busy lifestyle, plans are always changing. On a Monday off from school, some mom friends of mine decided to get a jump on our children’s Entrepreneur’s Day project and get our students together for a planning session. That morning, when we were confirming meeting time and supplies needed, when we realized it was lunch time and our kids would be hungry. With a quick inventory of what we had on hand, I realized our Ling Ling Steamed Dumplings with Chili Sauce and the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice were the perfect dishes bring along with us.
Since we were short on time, I decided to start with the Steamed Dumplings. I quickly heated up the dumplings in the microwave safe bag provided in the packaging and decided to fry them in a little hot oil to make them a little crispy.
While the dumplings were browning, I quickly prepared the Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice, perfect for easy potlucks. All you have to do is open the box, take out the prepackaged rice and heat it up in the microwave oven for approximately 3 minutes per bag. I poured it into a white serving dish with a lid (to keep it warm) and we were ready to go.
