What an honor it is to be nominated for Top Family Blogs by Moms through Circle of Moms. When I was first home with my son, I stumbled upon Circle of Moms. I think it was when I joined Facebook that I got my first taste of “The Circle”.  The transition from working full time to staying home raising a new born is such an amazing experience, but sometimes you get lonely.   Looking for parenting advice, finding moms out there via the net who had similar concerns, questions and milestones made that transition easier.  Eventually I got the hang of the day to day routine and found a mom’s group where I could attend play-dates and get out with my little one.

Eventually when he became older, I began looking for directories or other websites that gave me new ideas and things to do with my growing toddler.  Having another newborn in tow, made it challenging, but manageable.  I found a few park websites, a couple I still follow to this day, and many other sites geared to older kids, but I couldn’t find that toddler resource.  I began to poll my friends (all toddler moms) of their favorite places to take their little ones….and the inspiration for “Toddler Trails” began.

I have really enjoyed this blog.  It excites me when I hear feedback of followers, new and old, where some of the information featured here has helped new moms & dads, grandparents, and families find fun things to introduce their youngsters to.
