OC Parks welcomes back NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for a series of educational public programs showcasing various deep space missions and you are invited!!! The first event in a three-part series will visit Upper Newport Bay on Saturday, September 14 with a special presentation on Dawn Mission.

If you’re looking to plan that last minute family day at the park, here is a list of events that will be happening in Orange County at the Parks:
OC Parks will be hosting the fourth annual OC Parks Sports Day at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton on Saturday, July 20th. The event welcomes renowned athletes and teams from different types of sports for an action packed day of activities in the outdoors.
Third Annual OC Parks Wilderness Celebration in Black Star Canyon takes place on Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will introduce children and adults alike to the wide open spaces right here in Orange County with all kinds of family activities.
The day will begin with trails opening at 8 a.m., and kids’ activities kicking off at 9:30 a.m. Trails will be open to hikers and bikers until 1 p.m. Participants should note that for the safety of pets and preservation of local wildlife, dogs are not allowed in the Irvine Ranch Open Space at any time.
