Spring time is here, and with that comes the season of gardening!  Armstrong Garden Centers invites all Californians to any of their 31 locations this April to celebrate Lawn and Garden Month with free Spring time gardening classes every weekend.

The experts at Armstrong that are certified nursery professionals teach the classes. No advance registration or RSVP is required, and questions are encouraged.

Armstrong’s scheduled workshops for April 2014:

  • April 5, 9:00 a.m. – Growing Cacti & Succulents + Waterwise Tips. Armstrong will share basic care tips for those looking for waterwise gardening help.
  • April 12, 9:00 a.m. – Organic Gardening for Beginners. Learn everything there is to know about starting an organic garden from building soil health through natural products and techniques.
  • April 26-27 – Ladybug Weekend. Armstrong will be giving away over 2 million ladybugs all weekend long. (Only one free packet per family while supplies last.)
  • April 26, 9:00 a.m. – Family Gardening Ladybugs and Other Good Bugs for Your Garden. Find out which plants are the best for attracting beneficial insects that help gardens flourish. (Includes interactive activities for kids.)
  • April 27, 11:00 a.m. – Organic Gardening. Master the art of organic gardening with in-depth organic techniques and products to keep any garden strong and thriving.

Succulent Jar “Spring is our favorite time of the year because we are able to share some really fun classes that excite Californians about gardening and getting outdoors,” says Ian Hydoski, operations manager of Armstrong Garden Center. “The classes this April are fun for all ages and reflect our appreciation toward our customers as we continue to celebrate 125 years in California.”
