November is here, which means the holidays are just around the corner. We have already started planning our traditional holiday cards. In fact, I decided to do things a little differently since I lost ALL of my photos from 2014-2017 when I dropped my portable hard drive. The good news – many of my photos were uploaded to Facebook or my blog, so thankfully I was able to create beautiful and fun custom holiday cards summarizing our exciting 2017 with Basic Invite.
I was invited to personalize my own custom holiday cards with Basic Invite last week, and I have to tell you, they have so many options that I really like. I like the simple one sheet greeting card with a photo because I like to hang them on the wall. However, many times I upload a picture, add our names and complete our order. With Basic Invite, I was excited to personalize the front, back, use different formats, shapes and different envelopes.
The creativity starts as soon as you visit their website. With over 400 Christmas card and holiday card designs, the possibilities are endless. I started with a basic design with the option to upload 3 images. I enjoy highlighting my children’s activities throughout the year with a picture. Since my son had an amazing baseball season and my daughter, a fantastic dance season, their images were front and center. I then added a fun family photo taken last year on Christmas Eve because it was so festive.
As I was editing and adding my photos, I noticed there were many color options. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options. If you’re trying to match colors, this feature is so helpful.
My favorite feature was being able to customize the back of the card. This year we will be mailing out unique Christmas cards with a year in review timeline on the back side. Being able to customize the back of our holiday card with several different layouts is just awesome. I’m so excited that this year our greeting card is fun, exciting and shares a photo timeline of our year.
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that gives you the ability to order a printed sample of your order so you can see exactly how it will print. Once you receive your sample, this is an additional opportunity for a final edit, color check and the opportunity to feel the paper quality before you ever have to place their final order.
The final touches on your custom holiday card order is the envelope. Basic Invite is just as colorful with their envelopes as they are with their invitations. Choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to envelopes, that are peel and seal for quick assembly without having to moisten the adhesive. Additionally, Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders.
