On October 3, 1863 Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a National Holiday.
In doing so, he explained, “In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity…peace has been preserved with all nations…and harmony has prevailed everywhere. He declared that the last Thursday of November shall become a day of “Thanksgiving and Praise”.
I saw this movie trailer recently in the theaters and my husband and I both said, this is a must see movie. It is now in theaters – and we’re certainly planning a date night to see it.
