Summer is over and it is time to get back into the swing of things – school! While the kids are generally not excited about the first day of school, Parents across the land are rejoicing that children will return to their normal routine. Having left the classroom March 13th, and mandated distance learning in our area, we had quite extended the summer. While so much is still uncertain at the moment, we do know that many kids across the country are starting off the school year a little differently. Therefore this week, I’m working on getting the kids set up for the upcoming school year with supplies, re-organizing learning spaces and desks, collecting equipment like chrome books, hot spots and more. I’m already exhausted. Then I remembered the 1st Day of School pictures that I love to take, and had to create something cute and simple to commemorate their first day. So I’ve decided to share my 2020 – 2021 first day of school signs.

I know most high schoolers are not too excited about posing for first and last day of school photos. I’m sure when my kids get to this age group, they’re going to be running from my camera. However, in case you are able to snap a quick pic, check out my high school printables:
The start of the school year brings us so much anxiety, worry, uncertainty and confusion. One thing is for sure, let’s make this year the best we can make it for our kids. Starting off the school year with our traditional first day of school photos will hopefully sent the tone for a new normal.
