I was recently contacted by representatives from the Eureka Baking Company and asked if I was interested in sampling their new California-based organic bread. Heck, why not????
But I was curious, as I had never heard about the Eureka! Baking Company. Upon checking them out, I discovered all their breads are USDA organic, certified vegan and contain no HFCS, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Now I was intrigued!
A couple of weeks later this rather large box arrived with three varieties of Eureka! Breads:
- Grainiac: Organic bread with 21 grams of whole grains, the Grainiac bread is an excellent source of fiber (5g) and is 130 calories per slice.
- Seeds The Day: Loaded with 5 different types of seeds, this delicious wheat bread is packed with 14 grams of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber and is 140 calories per slice.
- Saaa-Wheat!: Chewy and full of flavor and crunch, Saaa-Wheat bread is made with 14 grams of whole wheat, and 3 grams of fiber and is 130 calories per slice.
Whether toasted with breakfast in the morning or served with your favorite sandwich toppings later in the day, these rich, whole wheat breads are as delicious as they are nutritious. My kids love variety in their lunch. I will decorate their basic sandwiches with cookie cutter shapes, especially during the holidays. I had been using white bread and a little wheat here and there, but now that I’ve discovered Eurekas breads, I am ready to switch up to organic. I love that the slices are jammed packed with whole grains and fiber while adding a little crunch to the typical sandwich. Even my husband came home after surprising him with “Seeds The Day” Ham and Swiss, and he loved it.
Eureka! Breads are currently available in California for approximately $5.69. Want to know where you can find it? Check out their website: http://www.eurekabakingcompany.com/ for a store locator or visit them on Facebook.
