Thomas the Tank Engine invites little engineers to join him and his best friend Percy for a day of big adventures and even bigger memories at Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2018. Children everywhere are invited to spend the day with their friend Thomas when the #1 Engine and Percy pull into the Orange Empire Railway Museum on April 7th, 2018. Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2018 is presented by Mattel.
Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends will be returning to the Orange Empire Railway Museum, April 7th, 8th and 14th and 15th. A Day Out With Thomas™: offers youngsters the chance to take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends™ series. In addition, they will meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas-themed activities including crafts, photo ops, and more. The tour, now in its 23rd year, will make 42 stops across the U.S. and Canada and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers in 2018.
Families the opportunity to take a 25-minute ride with the famous #1 engine, who will surprise all with his ability to talk! Percy, the locomotive, will also be touring at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. Children can also meet Sir Topham Hatt®, the Superintendent of the Railroad.
Be sure to calendar a family fun day with Thomas and friends. There will be a wide variety of activities for children like:
- A ride with Thomas and/or Percy
- Interactive story time and photo opportunity with talking Percy engine
- A Meet & Greet with Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- A Thomas & Friends Imagination Station featuring a variety of activities
- A ‘Passport to Adventures’ booklet for children to track their journey at the event and receive a special prize upon completion

There will be streetcar and trolley rides and an entire museum to explore. A visit to the Orange Empire Railway Museum is a trip back in time to when trains, conductors, whistles, bells and steam were a part of the way we traveled.

The Orange Empire Railway Museum – www.oerm.org is an volunteer-run organization that has been preserving Southern California’s railway history since 1956. The museum’s mission is to educate the public on the technology, history, and impact of the rail transportation industry in the West. Over 200 rail cars and locomotives, ranging from Los Angeles street cars to modern diesel locomotives, are preserved at the museum’s 90-acre site in Perris, California, which is open 363 days of the year.
