Did you know that in the City of Cerritos, you can hand craft your own sandwiches, burgers and more? Stacked has been open for 3 years now, and I’ve finally just discovered this creative restaurant.
Several blogger buddies and I were invited to a media tasting at Stacked in Cerritos for a great night of fun, mingling and discovery. For those of us who are into our gadgets, this restaurant is quite ideal for us. Imagine, ordering your food from the table by iPad – genius.
At Stacked, they offer an all American menu with favorites such as burgers, pizza, salads and mac n’ cheese. All of these items can be customized to your specifications with the swipe of your iPad. You can easily add or subtract any of the items for that perfect entree. Stacked also offers some great signature items, some of which I highly recommend.
Naturally we started with appetizers:
The Flying Pigs, which I loved the name, is tender meaty bites of pork, right off the bone. They are lightly fried and basted with a sweet and spicy Asian sauce that has a little kick.
My favorite, the Spinach and Artichoke Dip is a blend of cheese, garlic, spinach and artichokes topped with a tangy tomato relish. Honestly, spinach artichoke dip is one of my favorite appetizers, and Stacked’s dip is quite tasty. In fact, I’d make a meal out of it.
When I heard about it, I had to order dessert before my dinner; my mamma would be so disappointed! The Cadbury Egg Shake was exactly what I expected. A rich blend of vanilla ice cream swirled with cheesecake batter. Chocolate syrup, white chocolate, caramel and bits of Cadbury Crème Eggs were swirled throughout. To top of this picturesque milk shake was 3 split Cadbury Crème Eggs
While I LOVE hamburgers, and would typically order one when sampling a new restaurant or menu, I decided to go with what seemed to be calling to me: The Lobster Mac N Cheese. This “Stacked Mac” is a signature item loaded with Mac n Cheese, lobster, roma tomatoes, fresh garlic, and basil, topped with parmesan bread crumbs. This deliciously rich entrée was enough for two meals for me, and definitely a favorite.
Stacked also offers a great kids menu with mini burgers, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, mac n cheese and pizza – favorites of our youngsters.
For date night, Stacked is a full-bar with multiple flat screen TVs and stocked with craft beers that are rotated on a regular basis, premium wine, top shelf liquor and all customizable via iPad.
I absolutely LOVED Stacked and plan on making it a regular family and date night restaurant of choice.
