I love to spoil my kiddos, if you haven’t already noticed. He He. When it comes to my “first born”, I try to make sure she isn’t left out. With this new pet bed from Tall Tails, she’s sure feel comfortable and home anywhere we go.
Our generous friends at Tall Tails sent Minnie a brand new bed to sample. You know, when opening the package, it was like she knew it was for her – stairing at me with a look that said “Mom, I’m waiting!”
We’ve previously discussed the fact that Minnie was diagnosed epileptic. She has been having seizures for approximately 3 years now; last year having the worst. (You can see her story here: Minnie) With her diagnosis, she was prescribed phenobarbital to reduce the amount of seizures she had. So happy to say that the phenobarb worked, however she has become a heavy sleeper now. My issue is that with this heavy sleep, she doesn’t realize she needs to pee – causing huge puddles on my carpet or her bed.
With this problem, we look for dog beds that:
- Are washable – If she has an accident, we need to make sure that it can go into the washing machine
- Must be comfortable but thin – Large dogs require large beds. If it is too thick, it won’t fit into the washer.
- Superior Materials – Since we must wash the bedding regularly, it must be made with a superior material that can withstand many washes without falling apart.
- Is transportable. If we are traveling, I’d like my baby to go with us, meaning her belongings must go too.
- Match our decor. Yes, these beds must have a look that match the decor of the home – color scheme is important.
Tall Tails provides bedding for animals that fit my exact specifications! And the best part, Minnie LOVED it. When I took the bed out of the packaging, she immediately began rolling around on the floor, scratching her back making funny noises – sure signs of a happy pup.
