It’s always great to recognize those who spend the time taking care of our youngsters during the day. So, with Teacher Appreciation being next week, I wanted to get them something they could use, but was also crafty too.
Leave it to Pinterest to have tons of great creative gift ideas. Last year, I searched and searched, and wound up going with simple gift cards for our teachers’ favorite places. This year, I headed to the dollar store and picked up some school supplies:
- Plastic Cups
- Rulers
- Colored Pencils & #2 Pencils
- Markers
- Crayons
- Rubber Bands
- Silk Flower Bunch
I took the cup and used the rubber bands to fasten the markers to the cup. I placed the pencils and the rulers and flowers inside the cup which now looks like a vase. I took several rubber bands and attached 3 packages of crayons to the outside, and that is it. The entire project costs about $9, and took 15 minutes to complete. The entire vase is very easy to take apart so that the supplies can still be used in the classroom.
To fancy up your vase/gift, you can add ribbon, cards, balloons, etc. Get as crafty as you want!!!
This is great idea!
Oh that’s really cool!
That is totally cute! I love it!
That is a great idea because a teacher can never have enough markers or pencils.
I wasn’t sure what to do for my daughter’s teachers. This is perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I love this! I’ve heard our tteachers mention that they are in need of markers and glue sticks… it is a great way to give them some 😀
