Making A House A Home With Silk Plants

Interior design really isn’t my thing, so keeping it simple is important in my book. While I love having a pop of greenery here and there, I’ve had a tough time with plants. While I recall my grandfather had an amazing green thumb – however I didn’t inherit that amazing trait. I’ve had a few plants here and there that typically die because of neglect, or even one that was so independent, climbed the walls of my living room, destroying the paint on the walls. So I was excited to receive a gorgeous Boston fern silk plant in a beautiful vase on behalf of Plantscape Inc. to review and share my honest opinion about their products.

When I open the box, I was pleasantly surprised. The fern sent from Plantscape Inc. was so life-like. The leaves looked exactly like a fern my mom used to have when we were kids, that I would water weekly. The vase it came in matched perfectly with my room décor. The best part of this new edition to our interior decorating is that there isn’t much up keep. I don’t have to water, mist or move into the sun light. Every once in a while all I’ll need to do is dust the leaves, which is totally do-able when dusting the room.

While I was deciding where to place this beautiful new addition to our home, I realized it was so versatile that it could fit in so many different places. The sofa table where it currently sits makes it the center piece of our living/dining room. I can also move it to one of the end tables, add it as the center piece of our dinning room table or even take it outside into our patio area. Since we have a wicker couch, wicker side chairs and a wicker coffee table in the back yard, the Boston fern would also be a great addition there too.
