Second Screen Live has developed an iPad app to download that links up with the movie, enabling you to compete against your friends and family while watching The Little Mermaid.
On Friday, after school, we raced on over to Downtown Disney with our iPads to catch an afternoon showing of The Little Mermaid. Not sure what to expect, we turned on our iPads and followed the on screen directions to select a “Team”: Team Flounder or Team Sebastian. Once the movie started, we were transformed into the interactive world of The Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid being my absolute favorite Disney, I truly enjoyed the experience! With one munchkin on each side, I read the questions to my 4 year old – at times ready to grab it out of her hands to answer the question before time was up. Have you ever heard of Crab E Oke? Each iPad displays the words to the song as YOU get to sing with the sea creatures.
This is new movie technology that will sure to be a big hit with families! And up next – The Nightmare Before Christmas will be the next movie fans will be able to interact with, so watch your local theater listings!
