On December 11th, the super silly characters of Ice Age are back and then some in the newest chapter of this beloved family-friendly franchise! Ice Age: Continental Drift will be a must-own Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™ and DVD this holiday season!
When Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn gives way to earth-shattering consequences, a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid begins. Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they try to reunite with their herd. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.
We really enjoyed this family friendly movie. The funny comments (only adults would understand) and quirkiness of the characters certainly made it a favorite of mine. My son (5) was a little scared of the Pirate, (and most villains) thought the movie was fun.
To kick off the fun, Ice Age Ice Palace is open for the holidays at the Taubman Shopping Centers across the country. The Ice Palace will consist of a 30-foot ice dome with falling snow, a light show and the beloved prehistoric herd from Ice Age: Continental Drift. You will be able to get up close and personal to see Scrat chase after his precious acorn while the Ice Age characters drift on an iceberg in pirate waters. Families can measure their prehistoric heights against Sid and Diego, go paw-to-paw with the herd and track down Scrat’s missing acorns throughout the palace.
