Once we hit the month of November, it’s time time to start thinking about our annual holiday cards we send off to family and friends. This year, I’ve already picked out coordinating outfits for the kiddos, but before I shoot the pictures, I wanted to check out the card options for setting, style and photography ideas. I’ve noticed a few friends have been sharing their love for Minted holiday cards via social media channels, which prompted me to take a peek myself.
Minted has an amazing selection of beautiful cards for all occasions. Their holiday and Christmas card selection is just incredible. So many different styles, themes, layouts and graphics, I ended up really liking a couple of different ones.
While going through the search, I noticed these little hearts under the images (I was searching via my cell phone so those hearts were pretty big). Once you’ve signed up and created an account, if you tap on the heart, it adds the card to your “Favorites” folder.
After I’ve selected a few of my favorites minted cards, it’s time to narrow it down. And since I’m having a tough time choosing because I really like so many, think I’m just going to wait and take the photos this weekend and make my final decision then.
One of my ideas was just to shoot the kids in their festive outfits in a park this year. So this card seemed the perfect fit. It’s cute and fun.
Once you’ve narrowed down your card, this is where all the creative options come in: Do you want to make it a flat card? Do you want to make it a traditional card? Add typesetting to the front/back? Add more than one image? The possibilities are limitless when it comes to designing your 2014 holiday card.
