For us, school is started and we’re getting back into the swing of the school year. As the kids walk into the door after school, the very first thing I tend to ask them is how much homework is on tap for the evening. My motto is to get it done right away, but what happens if they are struggling with a subject? As a substitute teacher at the elementary grade levels, math wasn’t a problem. However, now that they are in high school – I need a refresher course, or someone to step into my place and work out the problems with them. Thankfully, Mathnasium is a great option for students who need a little extra help with math.
Mathnasium (also Mathnasium Learning Center) is an American education brand and
supplemental math learning franchise consisting of over 1,000 learning centers in North
America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, They provide instruction to students
in pre-kindergarten through high school. The curriculum employs the Mathnasium MethodTM, a
proprietary system that was developed by a team of education experts with co-founder
Lawrence Martinek.
For decades the Mathnasium MethodTM has transformed the way kids learn math. They start with building a foundation for math mastery by starting with what they already know, addressing any learning gaps, expanding mathematical thinking, and adding new concepts in sequence. They use a combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written techniques to build math knowledge level by level, so they understand it, master it, and enjoy it.
This proprietary method works for kids of all ages and skill levels, whether they’re struggling in math, doing okay but could be doing better, or are already excelling but need more of a challenge. When kids see what they can achieve because of their proficiency in math, it can alter the course of their entire lives.
The program is backed by the extensive training and resources of a global organization, their instructors deliver a superior method, typically at a lower cost.
How do you get started? First, find a location near you. Next, Get a math skills assessment. Finally, talk to your center director about the customized learning plan for your child.
I’ve partnered with Mathnasium, the Math Learning Center, to offer my followers the chance to
win a free month of instruction for their child, which includes homework help as they get back
into the school year routine. Available for kindergarten through 12th grade.
