Did you know that Armstrong Garden Centers offers FREE classes each month.  In May, they are providing fun activities just in time for Mother’s Day and getting your spring garden thriving before the summer.
Mother-and-Daughter-hydrangeas
The certified experts at Armstrong Garden Centers will be teaching the classes. No advance registration or RSVP is required, and questions are encouraged. Gardeners of any skill level are welcome to attend.
Armstrong Garden Centers’ scheduled classes for May 2014:

 

May 3, 9:00 a.m.
Planting and Caring for Hanging Baskets.
Learn how to make a unique hanging basket any mom will love and will last longer than a traditional bouquet of flowers.

 

May 17, 9:00 a.m.
Orchid Care and Repotting. 
Growing orchids is easy and Armstrong Garden Centers will demonstrate the simple care steps and repotting.

 

May 24, 9:00 a.m.
Hydrangea Care. 
Learn how to grow everyone’s favorite summer cut flower and how to expertly prune them.

 

May 31, 9:00 a.m.
Summer Rose Care.
Keep those blooms coming all summer long. We’ll cover deadheading, feeding and general care for healthy roses.

 

“We love Mother’s Day at Armstrong Garden Centers because giving mom a living plant is a gift that can last and last,” says Darin Engh, Regional Manager of Armstrong Garden Centers. “Hanging baskets are also really fun for mom because they are a gift that you can make her yourself, and we encourage everyone to come to our class to learn how.”
