Now you can get creative with Churros! The Loop in Westminster gets fancy with hand crafted churros you can customize with some of your favorite toppings and compliment with ice cream.
My family loves churros, so when I noticed a friend sharing The Loop via Facebook, I had to find out more. Located in Westminster, California, The Loop offers tasty churros in the shape of a “loop” with several customizing options. As soon as we could, we had to stop by to sample what they had to offer!
There are several way to customize your churro:
First, you can add a dip – try Dulce De Leche, Nutella, Strawberry or Tiramisu. With each bite you can dip your churro in a little bit of heaven.
Have it glazed – my kids were glued! They watched the churro artists gently brush on either chocolate, white chocolate, matcha and strawberry glazes and topping it with almonds, crushed oreos, fruity pebbles or candy sprinkles.
If you’d like it a little “chilly”, add a scoop of ice cream with your favorite syrups- chocolate, caramel or strawberry and sprinkle any of your favorite toppings like candy sprinkles, nuts, marshmallows or cheese bites.

My handsome boy ordered a Cookies and Cream Churro. A perfectly cooked churro, it was covered with white chocolate and oreo cookie bits. While I took a picture, it broke in half because of the weight of the chocolate and oreo bits and handing it back and forth for pictures). However, it was super tasty. I think my little man devoured it in minutes!!!
The rest of us ordered “Chilled” Churros. Each had a little mountain (about a cup full) of ice cream. I got the Caramel Pop where the vanilla ice cream had caramel syrup and bits of caramel popcorn. It was very good, but I would have preferred to have peanut bits instead.
My husband customized his churro with vanilla ice cream, drizzled chocolate syrup and sprinkles. My princess ordered the Choco Puff churro that had vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and marshmallows. They really enjoyed their selections.
Even though they have preset menu items, you CAN customize your own churro with whatever options you like – just get creative!
