Catch Up, Keep Up, Or Move Ahead – Reach Success | @REACHOC #ad

Reach Tutoring is a sponsor and has compensated me for sharing information about their Tutoring Programs for families.

@REACHOC

I remember last year during summer we focused on “FUN”.   I didn’t even think about doing anything with regards to learning until we were on a mini vacation in Las Vegas.  Hubby and I usually take turns going down to the casino to gamble while the other stays and plays in the room with the kids.  This makes for a great learning opportunity, so I usually try to remember to bring along some printables and activity sheets for the kids.  I never really considered following up with what they had learned during the school year to reinforce their skills.  Summer was almost over, and I realized my 3 year old had nearly forgotten all of her letters.

This summer, I plan on taking a proactive approach. Yes, we have a lot of fun lined up, as I’m starting to work on Summer Bucket List, getting some creative ideas, but I need to keep in mind that we need to continue learning.

I was recently contacted by Reach In Home Tutoring.  Now honestly, I hadn’t even considering tutoring my children.  They’re only in Kindergarten and preschool, so I didn’t think there was tutoring available for their age group.  However, to my surprise, tutoring is offered for Kindergarten students!

With transitional Kindergartens on the rise, parents are starting to realize the importance of starting early. At Reach In Home Tutoring, they specialize in K-12. The average length  for a Kinder session is 45 minutes with many hands on activities. Those sessions are much less rigid than sessions for school aged children.  And the teachers on staff are credentialed and specialists in their particular area of tutoring so they know what works when it comes to transferring information.

@REACHOCIt’s Summer Time!!! Catch up, Keep up, or Move ahead… REACH success! Learning doesn’t stop in the summer, so why not prepare your student for the upcoming school year.  Reach Tutoring offers bundles of hours using “punch cards” to keep track of time so that if you have a vacation planned, your teachers and sessions are flexible.  If you want your student to get ahead, why not request text books early?  During the summer, teachers can pre-teach any upcoming material so your child is prepared.

  1. A program like that will help make kids better equipped to take on any academic challenge for the next school year. That’s an excellent way to spend the summer.

  2. As a long-time home schooler, I learned long ago that fun and education can go hand in hand. When we started Staycation in a Box, a lot of that same great understanding goes into the activity and attraction information we provide. Kids can learn and have fun! They can have fun and learn! 🙂 Happy summer planning.

  3. Awesome.
    So often summers are spent in front of television or simply forgetting everything parents/kids worked so hard to accomplish in the classroom. Tutoring will certainly be a wise way to spend time preparing instead of regressing. Thanks for sharing!
