Sponsored review for Miguel’s Jr. A spur of the moment family activity lead us down the 5 freeway towards Carlsbad. On the way, we just HAD to make a stop at Miguel’s Jr. because I had been wanting to try their breakfast burritos and morning menu items since breakfast is now available and we area already big fans of their original and garbage burritos.
Miguel’s Jr. Tustin has finally decided to expand their menu items in to the realm of breakfast! Southern Californians can enjoy nine newly created breakfast items, including six breakfast versions of the Miguel’s Jr. Original and Garbage burritos, widely recognized as the best burritos in the Inland Empire. The new breakfast menu also includes three newly created breakfast combination plates for customers wanting to enjoy Miguel’s Jr.’s famous home-style cooking in a non-burrito format.
Since we had some friends along for our family fun day, we had quite the party sampling all that Miguel’s Jr. has to offer.
My girlfriend and I both love chorizo, so we ordered the chorizo burritos with cheese. When you mix the chorizo, egg, cheese and chile verde marinated potatoes, very tasty. We both added some of their specialty salsa to give it a little bit of a kick.
My husband ordered one of the combination plates (pictured above). The Americano includes scrambled eggs, chile verde marinated potatoes, refried beans and rice and a choice of meat, which he decided on the chile verde pork. The pork was full of flavor and quite tender.
As for the kids, we had them split the burritos because they were loaded. The Sunrise was they burrito they all chose full of egg, marinated potatoes, cheese and bacon – perfect for my picky eaters.
The new menu at the Tustin Miguel’s Jr. is now available from 6am to 11am weekdays and 7am to 1pm weekends. While most locations are in the Inland Empire, Orange County enjoys authentic Mexican dishes at these locations:
Orange: 1325 Tustin Street, Orange 92867 (714) 633-4000
Costa Mesa: 141 East 17th Street, Costa Mesa 92627 (714) 646-2153
