It’s amazing to think that Pretend City is in its 4th year entertaining families in Orange County. For the month of August, they are focusing on back to school and keeping children engaged in community activities. Therefore, you’re not going to want to miss their upcoming “When I Grow Up Day” on Friday, August 23rd from 10am – 3pm, where children will be able to engage with professionals and learn about what they do.

Wahoo’s Pretend Café – At Wahoo’s Café, children will be introduced to healthy foods that promote life- long good food habits.
Our Home Exhibit featuring Pierre-Andre Senizergues, Owner of Enties – Children will be able to learn the importance of an active lifestyle at the “Our Home Exhibit”.

Friday, August 9: Way to Play Day:
10:00am – 3:00pm; Find answers to questions about your child’s development and understand important milestones. ASQ Developmental checkups will be available from 10am – 12pm on a limited basis.
Monday, August 12: Baby Steps Through Pretend City
2:00pm – 3:00pm. For infants 0-18 months old, Baby Steps offers age appropriate play in a clean and safe environment for infants to explore. Reservations are required and it is $10 per adult while free for members. No older siblings please.
Monday, August 26: Family Autism Day
2:00pm – 5:00pm – Pretend City will be closed to the general public to invite those with families of all ages with children on the Autism Spectrum. During this monthly special event, children, their siblings, parents and caregivers get to enjoy Pretend City in an autism-friendly environment. Registration is required.
About Pretend City Children’s Museum
Pretend City Children’s Museum features a small, interconnected city designed to “build better brains” through purposeful play, hands-on learning experiences, role playing, and educational programming. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving all children, it depends on community-based funding and guest support.
