This year the Los Angeles Angels are partnering with St. Joseph’s health and it’s Southern California hospitals in two unique campaigns – “St. Joseph Health Heroes” and “Halo Moments”.
These two campaigns are recognizing and promoting the special moments that make a difference in our lives every day.
“Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing is certain: we love the ones who pitch in for a better community,” said Angels catcher Chris Iannetta. “Baseball players are looked upon by many fans as heroes, but the true heroes are the people who live selflessly to make their communities better for all. So go to halomoments.com and nominate your community here today.”
St. Joseph’s health heroes campaign encourages community members to share how people are making a difference. They are asking the public to go to a special website and nominate a local hero by uploading a story and photo. By contributing a story about outstanding individual, participants will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed baseball.
In addition to the St. Joseph health heroes, the Angels and St. Joseph’s Health are also offering a companion site called Halo Moments to share special moments in our lives that make us all unique, different and special. “Halo Moments happen every day but are far from ordinary in their power to unite our community and inspire, ” Iannetta said. “like a game-winning home run, a Halo Moment is one worth remembering and can make us all proud.”
Both organizations have formed a unique partnership because they are joined in their commitment to youth, education, and the health of the underserved, as well as giving back to the community.
