In conjunction with the OC Marathon, the Run for a Claus,benefits Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army and Kids Run the OC Foundation. This year, my family and I have been working on getting out and participating in more 5K events throughout Orange County. We’re very excited to participate in the Run for a Claus 5K and Kids One Mile Run/Walk this year because it benefits so many amazing charities, right here in Southern California.
During the Run for a Claus, there are two running options. Families can either participate in the 5K or the One Mile course. Prices remain the same for the 1 mile and 5K, which allows parents to run with their children and choose preferred distance. I now in my last 5K, my husband ran the course, while the kids and I walked the 5K. However, I like the option of being able to do one mile instead as my children were very tired.
