As a kid, I played with an original Nintendo DS, and loved the variety of games and the ability to take the console with me wherever I went. I recall not being able to put down my old Nintendo DS. Well, the kids have now fallen into the same boat. As soon as they saw the box sitting on the table, they ripped them open and had to figure out how to turn on the device. That was quite funny, because they have been so used to tablets. While they were doing this, I decided to dig out my old reliable DS to see if it still worked.
And what do you know. After charging it for a few minutes, it fired right up! The Galaxy-Style Nintendo 3DS XL is a little bit larger than the DS system. If you have any older Nintendo DS systems like we do, apparently, this unit plays all DS games. The only difference is that it will not appear in three dimensions.
Biggest feature of the Galaxy-Style Nintendo 3DS XL Gaming System is the super-stable 3D technology. With Face Tracking, The face-tracking feature uses the system’s inner cameras to adjust images based on your viewing angle, so you can enjoy total immersion in your games. To the right of the upper screen, there is a 3D slide switch where you can turn the 3D effect on and off. My kids noticed that if they are playing and someone is watching along, the spectator can only see blurry images. The 3D Mode recommended for ages 7 and up.
The Galaxy-Style Nintendo 3DS XL Gaming System also has new controls: The C stick brings new control possibilities (like intuitive camera control) to compatible games. And, new ZL and ZR buttons give you more options than ever.
