Mark your calendar now, for the fifth annual Monarch Butterfly Day on Saturday, February 1st at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley.
You’re not going to want to miss this year’s FREE Monarch Butterfly Day at Mile Square Park inside the Butterfly Garden at the parks’s Camp Sycamore located near parking lot E.
Children will be able to assist in planting native plants to attract the Monarch Butterflies. Participants are welcome to go inside a netted butterfly enclosure. Butterfly experts will be on-site to provide educational information and answer questions about the beautiful and unique specimens. Additional activities available at the event will include children’s crafts, face painting and guided nature walks. Bringing a camera is recommended.
