This Saturday (March 30th), Miracles for Kids will be hosting a Lookstyle Clothing Drive Event sponsored by Go Country 105 and Jiffy Lube. The live event will feature premiere styling service, Lookstyle, with special celebrity guest and country music artist, LeAnn Rimes, leading the collection of like-new clothing and shoes for the Miracles for Kids Closet of Miracles Program – a low-cost clothing resource for families in need throughout Southern California.
Families, friends and community supporters are invited to join this FREE charitable event at the Jiffy Lube Service Center (3061 Overland Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90034) between the hours of 2:00PM and 4:00PM by bringing a donation of new or like-new clothing/shoes to the event where they will get to enjoy a day full of family-friendly entertainment provided by Fortune Entertainment. The day’s festivities will include strolling magicians, balloon animal art, airbrush tattooing, the Go Country 105 Street Team, the chance to meet LeAnn Rimes and take part in other fun family activities. Additionally, the Jiffy Lube location will be offering discounted Signature Service Oil Changes for anyone donating to the Closet of Miracles.
“Miracles for Kids is honored to partner with Lookstyle, Go Country 105, Jiffy Lube, Fortune Entertainment and special guest, LeAnn Rimes, on this event to benefit the critically-ill children and their low-income families we serve. We are so grateful for all the support of everyone involved. Because of people like this, we are able to make miracles and change lives every day,” said Miracles for Kids President, Autumn Strier.
This event also celebrates the culmination of the Month of March 2013 Promotion by Lookstyle, in which 20% of their March Closet Makeovers will be donated back to Miracles for Kids to also benefit critically-ill children and their low-income families. The month-long promotion also includes the closet makeover of celebrity client and country music artist, LeAnn Rimes.
About Miracles for Kids:
Founded in 2002, Orange County-based Miracles for Kids’ mission is to improve the lives of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The organization accomplishes this mission by providing low-income families with financial and other support to face the economic difficulties that result from caring for a critically-ill child, by funding cutting-edge research to find a cure for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening pediatric illnesses, and by serving as an advocate and resource in the community for critically-ill children and their families.
This looks like a fun event and a great cause. I just got some cute new Kids Clothing for my girls at Burlington Coat Factory. They had much better prices than the department stores, and I was able to find the clothes that my kids love.
