It’s the first day of summer break where we’ve had the opportunity to spend a day at home relaxing. With the release of on Blu-ray™, 4K Ultra HD™, DVD and On-Demand, and the amazing surprise in home movie activities package we received from Walt Disney Studios, we are having a creative family movie screening.
A Wrinkle in Time follows Meg Murry and her little brother Charles Wallace as they go on an extraordinary adventure through time and space to find their scientist father, Mr. Murry after he disappeared discovering a new planet. While watching the film, we became inspired to build the adorable little bits night light we received in our screening kit.
The LittleBits Night Light came equipped with all the supplies we needed. Loaded with triggers, a slide dimmer, a power bit and a bar graph, a battery and assembly kit the kids were able to create an adorable magical owl night light that can light up at the sound of your voice. They could also utilize the slide dimmer if they wanted, to change the intensity of the light.
Once the electronics were assembled, it was time to put together and personalize the owl, which my son took on while my daughter decided to start paper crafting.
My daughter let her creativity run through the creating of origami flowers that she turned into a little garden, around our living room.
I was so excited about our Wrinkle in Time kit, because it inspired the kids to put down their technology and utilize their brains in creativity. I had warned them that this summer would be one of responsibility, creativity and imagination, and our friends at Disney got us off to a great start!
